November 29, 201312 yr Hi Arismac Do you have all the region packs for Orbx Australia working in V2 or are you referring to the FTX global for australia Wayne Yes, Wayne, but basically there are only two packs, FTX Global and FTX SP4. I have also installed three or four airports that do NOT have People Flow and they are just fine. Having said that there will be a patch to FTX Global appearing shortly which is designed to overcome some texture issues. This is not a problem because it can be installed over the top of my current installs. Interesting! With FSX I always installed the free version of FSUIPC because of the implemented anti-OOM feature it has. Maybe this also works with P3D…? I think the best plan is to install FSUIPC 4.923 and go back to the default graphics settings in P3D2. Then set about moving the sliders a bit at a time to suit your computer. It is very important to ONLY install V 4.923 over your current instal, earlier version may/can cause crashes. Cheers, Mac
November 29, 201312 yr I also think everyone is having problems with things like heavy rainy weather and that this is a temporary problem: unlike MS/Aces LM simply HAS to fix these problems. This is not a game you can release and forget about, like FSX: this is a sim and the market they target demands that the software runs as advertised. That is an excellent point, and a strong reason to be optimistic of this program's potential to totally disrupt the flightsim marketplace. This is not really FS11, but rather the SP3 we have all wished ACES released, plus some additional goodies that go way beyond bug fixes. I don't think there is much chance of LM abandoning it's users, who are primarily professional and military customers who insist on code stability for mission critical applications. I'm sure LM is making some serious money of their license sales, and unlike ACES/MS, they can justify the expenses incurred in fixing the archaic code. And all that hard work trickles down to us "lowly" hobbyists, for a fairly reasonable cost. I am sitting out the release for now until the kinks are worked out and more addon developers pile on officially endorsing the platform, but I am fully confident that this program will breathe new life into what was long considered a dead program.
