AMD/ATI cards and AA and Vsync are fine in P3D

Featured Replies

Hello there,

thanks for sharing your seetings. I have an AMD HD5870 and AA is terrible. I am using the latest drivers (13.12).

My AA settings are as follows: 4xAA & 16xAF & FXAA Off In-game, 8xAA Box and Supersampling, 16xAF, Tripple Buffering (all through Radeonpro).

I tried all kinds of settings without any luck. Everything is shimmering (e.g. light poles or aircraft textures that don't have MIP maps...)

Having read all the comments from the other ATI/AMD users, I am surprised that my display is so terrible.

I am having the same trouble with AA when using FSX with the DirectX10 fixer.

Does anyone have any ideas?

This my hardware:

Socket 1366 (ZK1003) Processor Core I7 920 OC 4.0GHz HT off
Corsair Hydro Series H50 cooling
Asus Rampage II Gene Intel EX58
6 GB DDRIII 1600Mhz OCZ
ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB
2x 500 GB SATAII

Windows 7 64bit
