December 5, 201312 yr Hello! Recently I made a fresh install of all OS and FSX and I'm thinking about test DX10...but a couple of questions... What are the better settings in NI for use with it? How about the DX10 fixer? It's hard to use? Are the airports compatible? Is FPS same as DX9? It is worth to use it? Thanks Enviado desde mi iPhone 5S con Tapatalk José Fco. December 6, 201312 yr Hello Jose, For me, the DX10 fixer is a must have! it is very simple to use and all my scenery and add on aircraft are working fine. The fps for me are slightly better with DX10 and the sim feels smoother when panning around. I copied the Ni settings from the "how to doc" on the DX10 forum where you made your post. I found reading the "how to doc" was helpfull for me to get all my settings right. Good luck, Jeff
December 6, 201312 yr Are the airports compatible? Is FPS same as DX9? It is worth to use it? Airports compatible: It is much easier to give an answer, after knowing which airport is prefered. On the top of this forum there is a compatibility list (originally collected for the compatibilty with the freeware fixer V3.2.2). Now there is a general better compatibilty with the DX10 fixer. FPS DX9-DX10: There is a slight FPS improvement in autogen areas and remarkable improvement in local scenery areas. Smoothness is much better, which is the key. Is it worth to use it: I have converted DX9->DX10 from the beginning of Steve´s project. If have never regret to do it. One add. aspect is, that Orbx and other scenery makers are committing to DX10/DX11. Wulf
December 6, 201312 yr The fixer is a no-brainer. A two year old could use it. Once you've got DX10 running as you like it you won't be seeing P3D with quite so many stars in your eyes. B) The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
December 6, 201312 yr Author Thanks for all responses!!! I'll try it and post comments here! In FSX setup, only needs to activate DX10 option? Enviado desde mi iPhone 5S con Tapatalk José Fco. December 6, 201312 yr In FSX setup, only needs to activate DX10 option? I would recommend to read the DX10 controller explanations in the manual at least. So you have an idea which issues have been fixed and which not.
December 6, 201312 yr Author Ok installed, but i don't know how to set the Nvidia Inspector ... Override any app setting? App Controled? It seems like no AA when i open FSX. José Fco. December 6, 201312 yr Author Ok now runnign very good!!! I like! Only tested five minutes... More to do! FPS are very good! One question... In FSX waht AA setting is the correct? December 6, 201312 yr In FSX waht AA setting is the correct? Bilinear, Trilinear or Anisotropic? Bilinear, Trilinear or Anisotropic are all degrees of Anisotropic Filtering. You will want the last one - Anisotropic. "AA" must be ticked in FSX i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
