Brakes overheating failure

Featured Replies

Almost everytime I land, brakes overheat and the plane gets stucked.- I must go to maintenance and reset wheels and brakes.- How can I disable such failure ?

Thanks

Sounds like something is very wrong, what autobrake setting are you using? I tend to use 1 or 2, which gives pretty good stopping power. If you are using higher settings, especially MAX, this could be why. During a normal landing on a 3000m runway, the brakes should not go over about 1.0 on the GEAR page of the synoptic. The only time I have seen higher is when I had to reject a take-off due to failure, resulting in RTO autobrakes.

Another thing to look at is that if you use manual braking, your hardware controller might be applying maximum pedal pressure, similar to how hardware throttle reverse thrust is always max regardless.
