Updated AIRAC for RC4?

Featured Replies

I did a search and couldn't find an answer, so forgive me if it's been asked. It appears Navigraph no longer offers updated AIRAC cycles for RC4. Does anyone else offer updated Navdata for RC4? Thanks.

Ok, thanks. I was thinking that.

I knew Navigraph was still around, however I thought that at one point they offered some sort of RC4 file. Thanks again.

Unless you are using RC4 on client PC to an FS host via WideFS, then run the Rebuild Scenery DB from within RC4. It will start makerwys.exe itself (in your FS folder), then copy files from your FS folder that were created to the RCv4\data folder and create another file from that. When asked at the procedure beginning be sure to provide the full path to your fs folder. (I keep that entry in a text file for pasting into the dialog to eliminate repetition and also typos.) The data used by RC is pulled from your installed scenery and relates to runway data including position of the runway, length, and starting points, plus LOC or ILS frequencies and properties.

This is why it is important to have this data from your scenery so RC can determine your aircraft position in the air and on the ground in relation to the runway. Any time you update your scenery rebuild the RC database.
