December 9, 201312 yr using chrome browser. sometimes it saves my login, sometimes i have to login again. whenever i do, the browser asks if i want to save the password, and i click yes. is there some other setting in the browser that is requiring me to re-login on occasion?
December 11, 201312 yr There is nothing requiring you to login periodically here at AVSIM. Once logged in you should stay logged in. I use the IE11 and the FireFox browsers and every so often I have to log in again too. I've noticed this after updating Windows. In any case, I think the problem (if there is one) is on your end. December 11, 201312 yr I have had the same problem when I have been redirected to Avsim for files that were referenced on another site. If I go to Avsim direct I don't have to login. Bob.
December 14, 201312 yr Author In any case, I think the problem (if there is one) is on your end. Best regards, i'm quite sure that it is. . . . just wondering if anyone knew how to make it stop in chrome. i logged in a couple of days ago, and just now when visiting again i was asked to login once more. thanks
December 14, 201312 yr I have had the same problem when I have been redirected to Avsim for files that were referenced on another site. If I go to Avsim direct I don't have to login. Bob. This is because there's a separate login for the AVSIM Library and, if you click on the Forums, you are still logged in at the Library. December 14, 201312 yr Hi. Thanks. Why can't you fix it so if you are permanently looged in on the Forums that you are permanently logged in on the Library. None of the other FS sites require separate logins. Best regards, Bob.
December 14, 201312 yr None of the other FS sites require separate logins. Well that should be good enough to convince Tom to alter the whole darn system! Of course with "all the other sites", when one part goes down it all goes down. At least if the Avsim forums go down the library still should work and vice versa with the library going down. But I can imagine how difficult it must be to use the same user name and password for both and then have to enter it TWICE! I mean, I can only imagine, because complaining about such a thing seems so trivial in the scheme of life. So how difficult is it to have to sign in separately for the forums and the library? Should there be a paramedic on stand-by for such occasions?
December 14, 201312 yr FTX/Orbx has the same website setup and I have to log in there every time I go there. I use to be able to sign in one time but now I have to sign in every visit.
