I use FS9 a majority of the time; Years of add-ons and tweaking have made it quite nice. Alan's screenshots prove just how good it can look.

Got a neat invite today.
only thing i've ever been told not to photograph on AFB's is tail flash and avionics. i've always just snapped cell phone pics though; never taken an actual camera on a military base.

Iran's new Qaher-313 "Stealth" fighter
followed the link in the Xian Y-20 thread and saw this . . . . http://www.flightglobal.com/blogs/the-dewline/2013/02/irans-new-qaher-313-stealth-fi.html Looks really state-of-the-art . . . . Only the finest fiberglass is used in its covering; And the most advanced avionics (looks like the chelton system?) that sporty's pilot shop has to offer.

Wow! .... blown away by MSE Delaware!
would you mind posting any screenshots of that when you get it running? i'm also in south georgia and i'm tempted, but not sure how much i'll like not having autogen as i'm always low and slow in FSX. my other hesitation is that most of my sim flying is done around south georgia/north florida, and i'm curious how well it blends into GEX at the florida border. SSI is one of my frequent stops, as well as FHB (55J) right down the coast. thanks

when written, the 2nd amendment was so we could have military grade weapons, to defend from invasion (british). despite all the horrific casualties, i see where nothing about that should be changed. regarding the newtown shooting, that boy would've found a way to kill them. from what i've read, he had a raging jealousy over his mother's relationship with her students as and his intention to kill would not have been stopped. considering the location, he could've done just as much damage with a shotgun, or even less of a weapon.

i'm in Georgia, so, no history lesson needed. lol. i see your point, and can only hope such leaders in the military still exist if need be.

i don't know. the syrians are having a hell of a time, and probably would've already been slaughtered without outside assistance. and have you seen an apache helicopter? our government has those . . . .

your nor I could purchase a weapon that fires 400 rounds per min without a federal firearms licencse; it costs a lot of money, takes a lot of time, and doesn't guarantee you'll be able to own such a weapon, as your local law enforcement has the final say on whether or not you can bring it into the county. with this license, all weapons requiring it must be registered and accounted for whenever law enforcement decides to randomly check for it.

assualt rifles are fully automatic (or select fire) weapons. you must have a federal firearms license to posess a weapon of this type. the "assault" rifle used in the newtown shooting was a glorified hunting rifle. pull the trigger once, it fires once. hold the trigger down, it still fires just once. you can buy semi-automatic hunting rifles that use the same ammo, but look nothing like the AR-15. the constitution is for honest people; its not going to stop the "bad guys" from getting dangerous weapons. i've read these statistics showing crime rates going up in countries that have disarmed their citizens; i feel 100% confident the same would happen here. there would be no fear for the criminal to burst through your door and do as they please, most likely armed. criminals will find a way. we cracked down on their drugs, and they created meth from ingredients found at any local drugstore. another thing i find disturbing is that so many articles i read in the news about murder too many times invovle an already convicted felon; someone who isn't allow to own a gun, and yet somehow they still get one. law enforcement cannot protect you 24/7. any gun laws that strip us of our rights will only punish the innocent.
