Controllers Can't Hear Me on VATSIM

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've got a quick question. I've had no problem with FSInn and talking to controllers in the Airbus X 320 and the PMDG 737, but I can't seem to get controllers to hear me in the T7. I've got the mic switch on to VHF L and I'm monitoring VHF L, and FSInn recognizes that I am changing the frequencies, and it even shows I'm transmitting, but still the controllers can't hear me on their side. Any suggestions?

Many thanks,

Matthew

Any suggestions?

Did you select the right mic source in FSInn?  Have you muted your mic somehow (not in FSX)?

There's a setting in the FMC Options to override the comms if they're ever acting up so that you can get your flight on the road (or continue it), until you can troubleshoot the issue.

Read the manuals, I'm sure it mentions this in there. Long story short make sure your radio panel is configured correctly.

I'll have a look at both. Thanks everyone

Let us know.

Also - just noticed the name/location.  I'm looking at the airport right now from my office window.

So I've been doing some testing, and it actually isn't the T7. It's all my aircraft, now. Going to see if it's a mic problem, or FSInn

Hope you are on the same frequency that of the controller ? There should be an icon in the taskbar which has input/output options and check volume settings.

BTW in the chat window type   ".c1 (COMM1) and the frequency e.g.   - .c1 122.800 and it will change on the aircraft comms you shall see it.  Hope it helps.

Problem solved: It was the hardware. The cable inside is messed up so I'll have to buy a new one. I appreciate the suggestions, everyone!

Womp.

The worrrrsssst!  I'm dreading the day I mess mine up.  The USB PTT that I use for controlling and flying, connected to my ATC headset, set me back a good $200.
