Help connecting Speakers and Headset

Featured Replies

Hello!

First, i have Windows 8.1 x64

I recently purchased a speakers set Creative Gigaworks T20 Series II, and also have a Sennheiser Headset with microphone (jack connection)

I want to reproduce FSX on the speakers and FS2Crew on the HS. But Windows only shows 1 audio input ... If i connect the HS, speakers mute out.

I use the default Realtek HD audio of the Asus P8P67 EVO Motherboard...

Any solution?

Ok I think I need a second sound card... (Replacing my headset for a new USB headset isn't a good idea...my actual headset is expensive and very good)

Maybe your sound card driver software has the ability to allow two outputs

My PC by default turns off the sound to the speakers when I connect the headset to the front pannel

But I changed the settings to allow both as separate sound devices

So now I have sound from FSX coming out the speakers and I can have FS2Crew, TeamSpeak, VatSim ext coming out the headset

Yes are good! Two devices sounds good. FSX is set to the speakers in the settings, and FS2C are pointed to the second output (headset) but it reproduces sounds at speakers too.

yes some of the FO voices come through the speakers

there is a button on the main FS2Crew panel that says "HS"

This will direct all FO audio to the headset

Yes I know. I only tested pushing the Test button via the control panel and the test audio sounds on the speakers...

A couple FO sounds will still come through the speakers even if HS is selected, such as I'm out for the walkaround... that's deliberate.

But 99 percent of all FO and other sounds (except for things like the jetway sound) swill go through your main speakers, assuming you pressed HS on the Main Panel and you selected your Headset audio device on the Config Panel.
