Teething problems with X plane 10

Featured Replies

Hi,

Could anyone please point me in the right direction?

When I engage the 3D cockpit command view, I can't see the cockpit at all just a straight view out of the window! How do I look around the cockpit and out the side windows of the 777 I am flying?

When I create a flight plan in SImroutes and then file the flight plan in x plane nothing happens! ATC just returns to the file flight plan menu.

Basically I want to input a flight plan and fly that route to the airport!

Any assistance would save my computer from going through a window!

Will try to reach you later... sorry - leaving for work, that thing that pays for my virtual and RL flights :-/

Learning to fly gliders since 1980

Stopped using flightsims for good since early August 2026, after 34 yrs using some really great specimens... If I'm asked to name the preferred one, after all these years, MSFS 2024 is my answer without hesitation.

(No desktop :-// after the last one crashed for good, so no simming, but I keep polling AVSIM - my main ludic activities spot since around 2006...)

For the views, go to the menu and be sure you definitely are in the 3D cockpit view. Then try right click and holding the mouse, move it around to move the camera. Also, use the arrow keys and the "." and "," keys to translate forward and back etc. Let me know if it still doesn't work after doing this.

Please refrain from launching computers through windows, there may be an unfortunate pedestrian in its path.
