January 11, 201412 yr Hello Everyone, So, I've just noticed something peculiar on my PFD in regards to the speed band. I'm wondering if this looks peculiar. I checked out the FCOM v2 10.10.7 and was wondering it its my VNAV speed band. I just don't remember seeing that solid yellow line. Perhaps I just never noticed it before but something doesn't seem right to me. I also took a look in 10.30.1 and can't seem to find the answer. Any thoughts about this? I'm sure it's something that I'm doing incorrectly. Thanks for the help. Chris K. Hmmm....I think it's a set up issue. I'm at cruise right now and took a look at the FMC VNAV page. My cruise alt is 380, plane wants to step to 400. But, my OPT FL337 MAX FL355 and RECMD FL340. It looks like I made some mistakes during the set up of the flight. My ppfx paperwork said FL380 for cruise but I must have made a mistake along the way. I'm descending to FL340 and everything looks to be okay. Sorry for jumping the gun and creating a topic. Thanks for letting me "think out loud"... Chris K. Disregard the above post. I made a mistake in my set up of the flight. My ppfx paperwork said FL380 for cruise but I my RECMD in the FMC is FL340. Not sure where I messed up... Sorry for creating the topic and jumping the gun. Chris K. Chris B. Trane

January 13, 201412 yr Commercial Member Disregard the above post. I made a mistake in my set up of the flight. My ppfx paperwork said FL380 for cruise but I my RECMD in the FMC is FL340. Not sure where I messed up... Whenever you see overlaps like that, it's normally a weight issue. As in, you set up your paperwork with LBS, but the plane is looking for KGs. Since 1 KG is roughly 2.2 LBS, the plane thinks it's insanely heavy as a result (when you enter LBS into a KGs spot). If could have simply been that you were over the recommended cruise, though. January 13, 201412 yr Commercial Member I see a pitch limit indication; are your flaps up? Good catch, but remember the pitch limit reference bar, is displayed in two cases: Flaps not up (as you mentioned) Flaps up, but low airspeed Kyle Rodgers
