From the 2013 Demographics survey. I just thought it was interesting.  ^_^

11. Most of us own multiple simulators. But, we tend to favor one flight simulator over the others that reside on our hard

drives. On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the most time you spend with a simulator, how do you rate your time on these sims?

If you do not own one or more of these sims, leave the matrix choice empty.

1 - Least Time 2 3 4 5 - Most Time

Hmmm.... Seems this doesn't format well on portable devices.....

It looks good to me - Nook HD.

But, this doesn't really mean anything.

It's not a census of all users. Only Avsim members take part, and even then only a small subset of those who are aware of the poll and/or motivated enough to do so for whatever reasons.

Nor is it a partcularly representative sample of users. As most people know, poll sampling is a pretty exact science that ensures respondants represent a very wide and comprehensive diversity of people. Only thus can a poll truly reflect user opinion.

And even the phrasing of questions requires good knowledge of this science in order to avoid misleading responses.

On the other hand, Tom's polls are a good tradition that create a sense of community and can give some indication concerning tendancies in our hobby. Plus, they are often lots of fun!

Best regards.

I think a lot of us "old guys" didn't bother with surveys much. Get so many in the mail or phone all the time, I tend to let them slide. But interesting anyway.
