Payware aircrafts

Featured Replies

Hi everybody.

I'm currently looking for new aircrafts to extend my FSX hangar! The only payware aircrafts I have is iFly 737 and Airbus X. I love these, especially the iFly 737, but after 2 years flying with the same aircrafts, I want to try something new!

I've been looking at the PMDG 737 and thee PMDG 747 as I've heard a lot good about these. I just don't know if it is worth the money to buy the PMDG 737 because I've already got the iFly737.

If you guys know any nice aircrafts or can recommend any I'd be happy!

You need to be an absolute 737NG specialist to spot those differences between PMDG and iFly.

The PMDG 744 will be turned in to a brand new version 2.0; so people have been considering waiting for that version.

For planes that have a similar degree of automation, similar instruments, similar FMCs: Check out the PMDG B777 (closer to the 744) and their MD-11 (way different, but high automation and synoptic displays also).

Thank you! I did not know about the 2.0 version for the PMDG 744. I will definitely wait for that!

Consider general aviation? A different type of flying (slower, less automation, less STAR/DP's).

The Flight1 King Air 200 is excellent if you still want to go pretty fast (300-320 KTAS), or try the Realair Duke.

If you're staying with box/people haulers perhaps the Majestic Q400?

Is there anywhere I can find information about the 2.0 version PMDG 744?

Is there anywhere I can find information about the 2.0 version PMDG 744?

It's scattered, so you will have to use the 'search' function extensively ... but some of the information concentrates in the PMDG General Forum, like in this thread:

How about the Majestic Dash 8?

What kind of flying are you wanting to do?

^^ What he said.

The Dash 8 is a great plane, and you get great performance as well :)

Well, I'm not really looking for anything specific tbh. I'm open for everything!
As far as I can read the PMDG 744 v2 will be released in December this year or in 2015. Not sure I can wait that long ;-) The Dash 8 actually looks great, however I am not sure if I should choose the Pilot version or the Pro version.

@LeeL, I love your avatar!

Edit: Just read a bit more, and I should probably go for the Pilot version ;-)

Majestic Q400 will be an excellent choice.

You won't be able to stop flying it! :good:

BTW The Pilot edition is more than enough to enjoy a top notch simulation.
