black screen flashes with 1.4 are back when using ASN

Featured Replies

version 1.3 - rain fix for ASN users unticked - everything worked.

From what I understood in version 1.4 we need to check this option to fix black flashing - it is checked and I have severe flashing when its raining.

Now I have no idea why in 1.3 it worked and it 1.4 it flashes again but that is shame :(

In 1.3 there was an option to enable the hiding of black textures BUT I messed it up so it had to be unticked which contradicted both the text and the way it was described

In 1.4 I simply changed the text to match the actual implementation - the manual says

Disable Hide Texture Change Concealment This was added for users with Active Sky who were reporting black flashes in rain. The change checks for the “FSX default texture” which can occur when a texture changes conceals it.. This feature is enabled by default, ticking the box disables it.

You have ASN and you want the feature enabled to conceal black textures so you dont tick it.

I am sorry if it wasn't clear
