January 20, 201412 yr Hello. I have reinstalled fax from scratch last week and have a coast line issue around cyvr. There is land instead of water. I've checked the usual culprits of terrain.cfg and the Vancouver+ v3 entries and the ultimate Terrain entries in the terrain.cfg. they are fine. I managed to get the issue down to a conflict of scenery as listed below. I'm quite sure it's a scenery library order issue, and a conflict with orbs pnw and ultimate Terrain. Can some advise the order the scenery entries need to be (higher / lower) and which ultimate Terrain scenery entry needs to be unchecked to try and eliminate the issue. 1.fsdreamteam cyvr 2.fsaddon Vancouver + v3 3.Ultimate terrain USA 4.Ultimate terrain Canada 5.Ultimate terrain europe 6.orbx pnw 7.orbx nrm 8.orbx global Thanks a million in advanced
January 21, 201412 yr DId you check if the problem occurs only around Vancouver? If not, UTX might be the culprit, simply run the UTX configurator tool and the problem should be gone. Florian
January 21, 201412 yr Here is my Scenery.cfg attached below. You would most likely want to start at entry #129 and working down from there. Remember that the last entry in the .cfg will show as the first scenery area in the FSX Scenery window. I might have a few products that you may not have but the proper ordering is provided. Also, with Orbx products be sure to install the latest library objects after updating any of their products, it must be done last. Good luck! Scenery.txt \Robert Hamlich/
January 22, 201412 yr Just took some time to look at FSX Settings-Scenery Library. From the top down I have the following: FSDreamTeam Vancouver Orbx FTX NRM Orbx FTX PNW Orbx Open LC (Global) UT Europe UT Canada UT USA Your Vancouver+ should be sandwiched between FSDT Vancouver and Orbx FTX NRM. You could try disabling the sceneries 1 by 1 in FSX Settings-Scenery Library to troubleshoot. If all else fails have a look at the Vancouver+ website or manual, you should find what you are looking for there. \Robert Hamlich/
January 22, 201412 yr Author Many thanks Robert I appreciate your help. I'll rearrange the scenery when I get back to the UK as I'm in Whistler skiing at the moment. Thanks again Rob
January 24, 201412 yr You don't say? I have been wanting to get up to Whistler to ski for years, been there a few times during the summer but haven't been brave enough to face the slopes. I hope you have a great time. You probably already know about the FSX Scenery Config Editor to make moving of your sceneries easier, just in case you do not here is a link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/fs-sceditor/files/latest/download You can raise or lower scenery priorities much simpler (and safe) using the "List" tab. And the beauty of this editor is that it automatically checks for scenery errors. Be sure to make a backup of your main scenery.cfg before you make any changes. FSX has 3 Scenery.cfg's, the main one is located in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX All the best, Robert \Robert Hamlich/
