Blue Hardware Failure Screen when operating the 777

Well no, your motherboard manual doesn't koow how many fans hard drives, usb devices or graphics cards you have.

As I raid previously his PSU is probably adequate if it's a decent make, but I don't asume.

And once again, he isn't overclocking.

There are plenty of PSU calculators around.

Most of their PSU are single rail, which isn´t good at all for your components.

This statement alone is enough to demonstrate a serious misunderstanding of what single vs multi-rail actually means.

I think OCZ or XFX are the last re-branders daft enough to even promote rail count in their marketing in this day and age.

For a thorough education, see here.

Ok... What's the bottom line?

The bottom line is, for 99% of the folks out there single vs. multiple +12V rails is a NON ISSUE. It's something that has been hyped up by marketing folks on BOTH SIDES of the fence.

For those that don't know better, pretty much anything that man says about PSUs is the bottom line.

I will say that while overbuying PSU capacity isn't really ever a bad thing, he certainly does not need 750W for his machine. As has been said, a quality 600W or even 500W is more than enough, emphasis on quality.

I personally won't waste time troubleshooting an issue if the machine hasn't already been reset to stock, though looking at his listed components, the 2166 RAM stands out. I'd reset stock clocks and drop ram down a few notches before looking elsewhere. A fault code would be helpful as well.

We are all getting side tracked here about this PSU stuff.

Everybody, just go get the PSU you want.

I still RECOMMEND (that is not the same as stating the bare minimum you need) a 750W good quality PSU and that will not change unless a prooven source tells me that is no longer required with next gen hardware.

Last additional info I can give about PSUs:

Sure, you can get a 500W quality PSU but you better hope it is of such quality that even after 2 years of use the thing is still stable (electronic components do wear out and a little overhead cant hurt.)

I am done with that subject.

Now,

While we are debating about 750W or 500W PSU with mono rail or not.......The OP has not even responded to the very first reply he got.

And that was a good one!

Maybe the best one so far.

No overclocked CPU or Memory and look at the crash log, just like Slayer suggested.

(and please dont come again with "he is not overclocking"....all I and others are saying is make sure everything is at default BIOS settings. It is the first thing I suggest to everybody with problems, even if I dont know if they overclock at all. Just to make sure).

After the OP responds with ok, BIOS at default and here is the crash log, we can suggest the next thing...
