Hi all

I'm looking to speed up load times a bit and wondered  if disabling some of the default fsx areas that I have duplicated scenery ie ftx Australia ,New Zealand ,PNW ,etc if this would cause any problems

Default scenery doesnt help much, the big culprit to slow loading is photoreal scenery, disable it if you have it and are not flying in that area

That and AI... I've got WOAI and MAIW installed in individual folders within the simobjects folder, so I can switch them on and off via the FSX.cfg...

 

Without AI FSX loads in about a minute, with both enabled it takes about 7-8 minutes...

Although a concern load time is not the most important ,I'm thinking more of duplicate scenery areas
