January 26, 201412 yr Moderator As a follow on from this topic http://forum.avsim.net/topic/433231-berlin-scenery-generation/, I managed to get some more time today to work on my scenery generator. It now also generates building and roof textures based on information in OSM, and also now picks up complex park/forest relations. It's crazy how different people choose to map stuff around Europe, so I'm trying to make it support as much as possible. Anyway, I generated Berlin again and Warsaw, as I know these two cities have quite good information, like most European cities. Now to Warszawa. Some of the roof textures need some work, and some people have chosen really bright colours for some of the buildings, but it looks good, and the beauty of the tool is that you can edit the config and choose what to map, how and which textures to use. The data is only as good as what's available in OSM, but I've already had a play and added some height and material tags to the buildings in my area. It's really easy to do, and makes a big difference in scenery generation. N.B. The generated color/material textures for buildings don't yet have night textures, and I'm still having a hard time understanding the facade format. But I'm getting there slowly

January 26, 201412 yr Author Moderator Ah , did you post earlier today with a different scenery ? Yes, I posted a new topic, because I saw a user got a post deleted because there were too many screenshots inside it :-D It's another city generated. I've been trying out different cities to see what tags people are using, and implementing them into the program. Warsaw had an impressive range
