X Plane Aircraft & Situations Other Aircraft AI Aircraft....

Recommended Posts

It looks like I just don't get it ! The plane I selected to fly is under the planes I selected under the "Other Aircraft" Tab.    The KingAir is under the other airplanes and one of them just won't  "get off" ....

The airport is Tucson and we're parked on the RAMP...

Plane orgy, looks like. A few months later and you'll have a new Cessna........ :-)

This post on the developer blog explains the plane orgy phenomenon (as HiFlyer so eloquently put it   ). In short, AI bugs and lack of ramp start locations in the airport scenery cause the pile-ups.

Hey, CapnSplat,

Thank you for the link to X-Plane Developer.  I have bookmarked and tagged it with a Google Alert.  I hope the update to 10.3 is close at hand, hey?

Not a problem. By all accounts, 10.30 is shaping up to be an important patch; I believe that many of us here are awaiting it with varying degrees of impatience.

A good AI traffic addon like My Traffic is the one thing that keeps me from really jumping on the XPX bandwagon. Hard to believe that someone hasn't come up with one yet.

There kinda is one, it's called World Traffic, but like X- plane itself it can be kinda complicated, quirky and needs further development.

Devon,

I looked at World Traffic but it was a little more work than I wanted to put into it. I guess part of the problem is the way XP handles AI traffic. Maybe one of these days.
