You do, if you want it to export wind situation for the waypoints, so the 777 can read it.

 

 

Thanks, Peter. I wasn't aware of that 'cause it's the F/O's duty to enter winds anyway.  

Was referring only to the wind uplink to the t7 the op doesn't need to get pfpx to do this since asn does this automatically once you put in a flight plan in asn,  but  to generate  an auto flight plan to put in the pmdg fmc or any other fmc yes  you need another program eg pfpx, or vroute and their are others to do this for you

 

Very cool.  I didn't know ASN did the wind data for the T7 now.  AS2012 I remember having to copy the text and paste it in to a new .txt a la Froogle.  Cool tip!  Though I'll never use it now since PFPX does it.  

PS: a short video tutorial on the descent profile management pages would be great ie: TAI temps and whatnot.  I have a friend who uses that page in the ngx to smooth out the drag required messages etc.
