Multi-Player with Add-on Scenery

Recommended Posts

There are many options for FSX add-on scenery (REX, GEX, UTX, FTX Global, VFR GenX, ORBX offerings, etc, etc). In a multi-player environment, does it ever cause a problem if the players are all using different types of add-on scenery?

Thx,

Al

It is possible that at some airports you may see the other aircraft below the surface opt they see you below the surface due to different airport elevations between different scenery implementations,

I have noticed this when using FSX default and others were using OrbX NA, PNW, and other of their products for that region.

Then there may also be objects in a particular location that are elsewhere in another redition of the same scenery area.

None of those are 'game killers'...just annoyances.

When spwning to an airport, if the server does not have that airport or has different parking, you may wind up in the air with the message that your aircraft could not be placed, etc....In that case just go up to the menu bar and select "Go to Airport" and hit OK. You will then be placed where you wanted to go.
