February 7, 201412 yr Hi all, I'd like to see if it's possible to tweak the drawing of terrain objects (mainly trees) in the distance. Currently, I can see trees almost pop into view as I fly and it's a little annoying. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible but if there's a simple tweak or adjustment I can make I'd like to give it a go. Thanks Daz
February 13, 201412 yr This was possible with FS9, Darren, but not so with FSX. FSX uses batch processing, and that means that all objects will "pop" at some point or other, as they come within range. and it's a little annoying It's one of the components of FSX which fall into the "emotional balance" between User Expectations and the actual User Experience. Perhaps P3D will find some other method to reduce the graphics workload. Sometimes Life just isn't fair! February 14, 201412 yr Commercial Member Paul is correct it cannot be changed. I think the RTM version of FSX behaved like FS9 and used alpha fading, but the batch drawing approach meant it no longer worked. My FSX Analysis Blog
