February 11, 201412 yr Moderator I knew not to even bother asking this on the FTX forum since I knew the answer would either be no, or we dont support using FTXG in that manner, or the post might even get deleted, hence the reason I ask here. Although I have yet to purchase, it doesn't seem like this would be something impossible to do, or would it? So what I am wondering if it would be possible to do this with FTXG? I am interested in buying it but only to use for the night lighting and not textures or autogen. What I was thinking was that I could install it into a dummy folder on another computer, then transfer the necessary files that produce the night lights on the roads, make the necessary additions to the terrain.cfg or use the Flight1 patch to do it for me. Granted I know that some of the lights are built into the scenery tiles and display as autogen objects, but I am not really that concerned about that. I am just interested in the program to use it as a global light source for all the roads that are either displayed by default or by UTX in those regions that I own it. As cool as the ground textures look, I am actually pleased with the ones that I have installed by GEX and dont want to really change those. Possible to do? If so, how? Thanks in advance. POST EDIT: Meant to say FTXG in the title line, not FXTG. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
February 15, 201412 yr Author Moderator Well, 4 days and no replies. Anyone have an idea on this one? I know there is the BeetlePrint product and also Aerosoft is producing a new Night LIghts/Texture program as I saw in their forum, but I really like the ORBX lights, just don't want the textures or autogen. February 15, 201412 yr The latest Experience X is very good if you only want night lighting. I like the FTXG textures and AG or I would have stuck with GEX & Experince X night lighting. Jose MSFS
