Question fsx will minimize on it's own and can't restart the program

When flying in any phase of fsx the program will minimize down and it will  not go back to normal view. I have to control alt delete to quit the program and restart it. How can I avoid this?

Are you running FSX in full screen mode? In that case it sounds like another program (perhaps an antivirus program) opens a window at higher priority than FSX has, which causes FSX to "vanish". You have two options: Either try if ALT+TAB can bring FSX back (or use the Task Manager to switch to the FSX window again), or use the windowed mode of FSX instead.

I experience this as well but usually on startup.

 

I have AVG antivirus , could that be causing this issue ?

 

Anyone else had similar experience ?

This can be graphics card driver related.  (especially if you get a black screen too).

 

Try hitting ALT+ENTER when it happens; see if this brings FSX back up in Windowed mode, then try hitting ALT+ENTER again to restore Full Screen mode.
