February 14, 201412 yr Got it installed and so far nothing major. I did a complete reinstall decided against the patch. Now I am at the phase of control setting up.i have Saitek pro controls, yoke pedals and a extra throttle quad. Fsx and first version I used fsuipc, but now , do I use just fsuipc or can I mix? Should I use p3d's controls or stay with fsuipc? One issue I ran into is mouselook. It works great in p3d but fsuipc I cannot get the mouse to follow like in fsx. Just trolling others thoughts on how are you setting yours up.
February 15, 201412 yr I would do whatever works for you. I also have FSUIPC and with 2.0 I used it to assign controls to my joystick buttons but I used P3D itself to assign axes (couldn't get it done that well with FSUIPC). But I mainly used FSUIPC for the buttons because otherwise it would feel like I spend money on FSUIPC for the Autosave only... With 2.1 however I decided to not bother with FSUIPC's controls and now I only use it for Autosave. And expensive Autosave but well, it works. ^_^
February 15, 201412 yr I bought it for everything but found fsuipc is worth it just for the auto save alone and I set the rest through Linda and the axis through FSX Sent from my IdeaTabA1000-G using Tapatalk ZORAN
February 15, 201412 yr I was using fsuipc for: - compound button assignment. But about one month ago when i saw that Jeroen switched to Linda in one day, i decided to have a look at it also and transferred most of my simple compound button to linda. But Linda anyway requires fsuipc so i can say i use it for that. im still using fsuipc for - all axis through fsuipc. I find this helpful for planes that dont use propeller control so i can use the axis for something else. Also very useful to define a reverse range on some planes like the caravan, the duke turbine, the md11. For the reverse i bought a 10 cents hinge from a hardware shop and use the hinge in the open (flat) position to limit the bottom range of my throttle axis. When i land i just fold the hinge then i can get the throttle in the one quarter of a inch bottom range of my throttle axis where i programmed the reverse. No more fiddling with F2 on the keyboard to go to reverse. Much more easy to use the reverse also to control taxi speed. - some long press on button available through Spad on my Saitek radio module. I use that to send virtual button to fsuipc. - autosave Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD PierreP3D when its freezing in Quebec....well, that's most of the time...C-GDXL based at CYQB for real flying when its warming up...
