Glad you got it fixed! For future reference, deleting the fsx.cfg and letting FSX rebuild a default one is a great way to trouble shoot. This would have found your problem instantly :)

I had some bad experiences with deleting the .cfg, every aircraft model was messed up after FSX renewed it so I had to completely reinstall everything lol. For now I hope my frames will stay where they are supposed to be :) thanks anyway for your input guys!

Ok forget my post above. The issue was not the missing entry but the affinity setting for FSX in task manager was set to core 0 only... Strange things going on on my pc lately. That explains why my machine couldn't handle the aircraft + clouds
