February 20, 201412 yr I just converted a bunch of 32 bit textures from a new scenery to DXT5... From what I've read having a scenery with a lot of 32 bit textures greatly increases VAS... Have any of you gone through your FSX folder and converted any large 32 bit textures to DXT5 format and has it made any significant difference concerning VAS levels? What would be the easiest way to go through ones FSX folder and find all of the 32 bit textures in all of the different folders, including those of AI AC? Thanks! Chris Camp
February 20, 201412 yr Here you go Chris. I have a more detailed doc too, but it's kinda convoluted. pj i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
February 21, 201412 yr Naturally is would as the lesser size would = lesser load on the VAS. (great grammar huh?) Al Stiff
