Selectively enabling TrackIR Device

Featured Replies

What I would like to do is to be able to select "Enable TrackIR Device" in OpusFSX without starting OpusFSX before starting TrackIR and FSX. I often times will start FSX just to check something or fly without my headset and it is a bit of pain to select an deselect TrackIR in OpusFSX as needed. Maybe a switch after the OpusFSX.exe?

You can obviously just disable TrackIR using the relevant F key if you wish. Alternatively you can take a copy of the FSXSERVERCFG.DAT file, one with the TrackIR option enabled in the FSXSERVERs configuration and one without. Then prepare your BAT procedures to copy the appropriate configuration data back into FSXSERVERCFG.DAT prior to running the FSXSERVER program. You could then place suitably named shortcuts on your desktop to run FSXSERVER either with TrackIR or without TrackIR.

Just use pause!  All the other functions are still there. I often fly the whole route with TIR paused and un-pause for the landing.

Exactly. I mapped the TrackIR pause and recenter keys to my Warthog for easy access.
