February 28, 201412 yr Commercial Member Quoted from Aerosoft Sim News: Found at AVSIM and uploaded by Roland Foster; AI Cull Traffic Density Tool for FSX/P3D version 1.0. According to Roland ” The AICull.exe utility provides intelligent traffic density for AI aircraft. The user enters the ICAO(s) of the airports the user (typically) departs from and arrives at.” “AICull then removes AI that is not departing from or arriving at these ICAO(s) in order to boost frame rate, but still maintain an immersive AI experience for the user. That is, the user will perceive normal traffic density at the airports the user departs or arrives at, however all other AI in the area will be deleted saving frame rates and memory.” “The user may also enter an unlimited number of ICAO(s) to monitor. The user may also update the list of ICAO(s) while the program is running. AICull.exe requires SimConnect and the latest, registered version of FSUIPC ver. 4.9x or later version.” http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=182902&CatID=fsxutil It seems like a very useful tool, like AIDupe. This way, if it works with MyTraffic or Ultimate Traffic, you can push AI traffic slider to the right, get better frames, and more AI planes that are dynamic only. Will check it out ASAP. Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
March 14, 201412 yr I wonder if Roland (developer of this tool) can offer advice. I installed or rather ran AICull not realizing I didn't have the SDK installed (which I thought I had) Upon starting FSX (at the gate) I got a blue screen. Tried again, and got as far as taxiing when FSX froze. I removed this tool from my desktop, but have had problems ever since with blue screens/freezing/ or pauses lasting up to 10/15 seconds. I had tried all sorts of things like rebuilding my cfg file, but does help. I wonder if Roland can offer any advice here, or I am looking at a complete re-install of FSX and many many addons. I use Windows 64bit plus My Traffic X with all updates. Thanks.
