Hey guys,

I know this OOM issue has a tonne of other threads with fixes and other suggestions to try it but I've tried everything (Including a re-install and partition).

I can't fly any flights longer than 30 mins with PMDG's 777....I've read their introduction manual and tried everything there but with no success. I'm aware fsx is a 32bit native program and can only utilize 4GB of RAM...either I have a big memory leak or I'm simply asking too much of my FS.

When re-installing I didn't install any addons until I use them, e.g I flew KIAD-EGLL tonight but it ended up running out of memory when around the OCK hold at about FL060. Flightbeams KIAD and UK2000 EGLL V2. Lowering settings and other scenery deletions have not worked, the VAS remains the same with different settings to the LOD radius also. I've tried deleting the CFG and letting it re-build..and running it through the ******* tweaker.

I currently have FTX Global, FTX Vector, FTX UK, FB KIAD and UK2000 EGLL V2.....That's all that's installed and I'm running at 3.6/7 VAS when midflight. (With PMDG 777) and about 3.1/4 with other Addon Aircraft.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I miss flying long hauls and returning to beautiful scenery! Instead I'm greeted by a crash.

Regards

Ben

I would be interested to see what happens when you disable vector.

I suspect its causing issues.

What are your slider settings on autogen?

DX10 or DX9?

The AVSIM CTD Guide (see link under Hot Spots) has suggestions for OOM's.  It looks like you have tried everything like lowering settings, disabling scenery, etc., and you are still getting OOM's.  There are NO other solutions. If you  lowered settings, disabled scenery, etc., etc., you have to do even more then until the OOM's stop.  The longer the flight the more chances for an OOM, especially if you have Autogen enabled.  With your high system settings (i.e., the 4.6GHz OC), I suspect you have your settings really high and you just cannot understand how your fast and powerful computer system cannot handle FSX with extreme settings.  Tweaks, like the BP and the JobScheduler, can cause OOM's too if not employed properly.  The AVSIM CTD Guide does not recommend they be employed in modern computer systems.  I have a system much more powerful than yours and I cannot have my settings set to max or even close to at max.  I use the settings as shown in the AVSIM FSX Configuration Guide.  These are also the settings recommended by others like NickN and Orbx/FTX developers in their manuals.  The only tweaks I employ are the LOD_Radius=6.5 and Texture_Max_Load 2048.  I have crisp and clear graphics and excellent FPS and, most importantly, no OOM's.

Thank you Firehawk, I'll give your tweaks a test and see what happens! Also @

outofphaze I'll try your suggestion too! Thanks for getting back to me. I'll come back with results after tonight's flight!

Well, I teid Firehawks settings and it's made it worse...3.6-7 with FTX EU & Global, PMDG 777 and UK2000 EGLL V2.....idle on the runway

UK2000 EGLL V2

This is a known resource hog.  It's amazing to me how my settings can provide the greatest experience with FSX and others who try the same thing have the worst experience.  It could be the difference with the computers systems.  Hopefully someone can provide a better solution.
