LA to Vegas is always a great route to fly...  I enjoy it a lot, your pictures really show the scenery well!

Great shots. Can you post some shots of Bryce Canyon. I'd love to see how the area looks in your setup. Are you using FSX?

That looks fantastic! I've flown that route in reverse probabaly 20 times this week trying to learn the Citation X FMS. I have GEX/UTX and the flights were not nearly as interesting as that photoscenery. It was my understanding that all the scenery was flat with photoscenery and that was one of the reasons that kept me from getting it. I thought autogen and 3d objects did not appear with photoscenery. I guess I was misinformed. I clearly see 3d objects in your Las Vegas shots.

Standard autogen does not display unless designed specifically for a particular photo package, but scenery objects (like downtown LA and Las Vegas) work just fine.  So do packages like US CitiesX Los Angeles and custom airports, so there are things you can do to mitigate the flatness when you're on the ground at either end.  Additionally, higher res photo and especially hi-res captured when there are distinct shadows cast, can maintain a 3D appearance to very low levels.

I have the entire SW (SoCal, NV, AZ, NM and CO) covered in photo from MSE v2, MegasceneryX SoCal and Las Vegas, and Blue Sky, because, as is evident from HLJames excellent captures, the arid SW and good quality photo are really made for each other.

Bryce canyon is not really a canyon but an erosion of the Paunsaugunt Plateau into geological structures called Hoodoos that are not well rendered.

Thanks for clarifying that Scott. I'm going to turn off my autogen on a few flights to get an idea of what it would be like.
