September 6, 201411 yr EDIT: I run in windowed mode. It probably doesn't do anything in full screen mode. I run in full screen mode, so i won't get too worked up about this one. Thanks Gregg. September 6, 201411 yr If Aero isn't running then neither is vsync. Shutting down Aero was a fix for some bug in Vista that was later fixed but since FSX was abandoned obviously the code for FSX never was ( but it is in P3D and P3D doesn't shut down aero) An annoying side effect is the screen flashing as aero shuts down every time you start FSX. There is a fix that doesnt require annoying batch files or anything else. This will leave aero alone and not disable it and doesn't require you to do anything special http://www.flightsim.ee/freeware/fsx-scheme-fix Give it a try it's free and it's very often overlooked. The guy that made it is reputable he created the P3D migration tool.. Steve McNitt
September 6, 201411 yr If Aero isn't running then neither is vsync. Probably why I see screen tearing when I'm windowed. Vsync works in full screen though without aero (at least that's my experience).
