March 4, 201412 yr Hi all I asked this in the P3D forum, but probably more appropriate here. Does the Opus Camera system have the same functionality as the EZDOK camera system, which is excellent, although painful to set up? More specifically, does the Opus system have ground vibrations, DHM, turbulence effects and the like? Can an external camera be positioned outside the aircraft? Best Erich
March 4, 201412 yr Commercial Member Yes the OpusFSX cameras can do all that. You will find some videos on the web but it will look better on your system due to the limitation of recording videos, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9JMfy9mNfY&feature=youtu.be Our documentation can be found here http://www.opussoftware.co.uk/opusfsi/opusfsx_live_camera.htm You can download some predefined camera definitions too from our website http://www.opussoftware.co.uk/opusfsi/downloads.htm#Camera Definition Files. If you have a ButtKicker then we can interface to that too to provide an extra level of realism. Cheryl
March 4, 201412 yr Cheryl Thats a good addition however can you tell me after I import the file like I just did in the PMDG 737, how can I manipulate the views? hope that makes sense ZORAN
March 4, 201412 yr Commercial Member You can edit and make changes to the camera views using the Cameras dialog, see the Live Camera manual for details. You can also make temporary changes to a camera view, adjusting the current eye point, using the Live Camera Control feature. You can also associate a 6 axis Game Controller for use with the LCC functions. Stephen
March 4, 201412 yr I already have my views set up no problems . I must be confused about what a "pre defined camera definition" actually is, what does it do? cheers ZORAN
March 4, 201412 yr Commercial Member Best read the Live Camera guide. The LC interface allows you to easily create any number of VC, 2D (scenic), and External aircraft views, associate theses views to specific sets of aircraft, easily switch between views by assigning button or key commands to them, associate DHM and other effects etc.. Live Camera Control allows the eye point in any controllable views to be adjusted. The Camera Definition Files, CDFs, are simply sets of camera views that have been exported, saved in a CDF so that they can be imported, either by yourself or by others. These views have been created and exported in a named CDF. We have a selection of camera views created by others available on our website. They simply save users the need to configure their own sets or allow users to exchange sets of views. Of course you can import them and then make any changes needed. Stephen
