March 30, 201412 yr Hi! I just installed the FTX North America package for Hawaii, and it seems like at least some airports (PHMK, possibly PHJR although I didn't look too closely) are missing buildings. I mean, the control tower is not the only building at PHMK in real life or in the default scenery.

March 31, 201412 yr Author Bump:) I still want to know why there aren't any buildings at PHMK or PHJR other than the control towers...
March 31, 201412 yr It is a better idea to post this on the Orbx forum http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/forum/15-full-terrain-experience-ftx-payware-support-forum/
March 31, 201412 yr Author Thanks! I've already posted my question there! Now, if anyone here has an answer (or at least a confirmation that there are supposed to be more buildings there), I'd still appreciate responses here, too!
March 31, 201412 yr There should be buildings at PHMK and PHJR, so check your scenery slider. There was a much better free package of Hawaii airports released earlier this year, so check the library for that.
April 1, 201412 yr Author There should be buildings at PHMK and PHJR, so check your scenery slider. There was a much better free package of Hawaii airports released earlier this year, so check the library for that. Thanks for the Tip! Unfortunately, it's not the sliders--they're all maxed out! Keep the responses coming, Avsim! I posted this to the ORBX website earlier (just before my last comment here), but no response there yet, so the Avsim community is starting to look like the forum with the quickest help!
April 2, 201412 yr Author Bump! I just checked the ORBX forums again, and I have--so far--gotten one response, which seemed--to me, at least--to imply that they wanted me to go the payware route to fixing the problem (by buying FTX Global rather than just using the FTX North America airport packs). Not sure if that's supposed to be the only fix, though.
April 4, 201412 yr I just went to PHMK and PHJR. They both have buildings, hangers, static aircraft, parked cars. and people flow. Do you have library installed? Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
April 6, 201412 yr Author Yes, I've gone into "Scenery Libraries" and put the FTX freebie airports at the top. In fact, the rows of military trucks at PHJR are there, but only if I'm close enough (they're just shadows otherwise). Just out of curiosity, how many of you who can see the buildings have FTX Global? It sounds as though that's necessary to get these free airports to work right.
April 6, 201412 yr I do have FTX Global installed but I don't think you need it because I was using those airports before I had gotten around to reinstalling Global after my last install of FSX. I has UTX installed and then when Ron showed up with the pictures of Vector 1.2 I he suggested it would probably have all the missing rivers I decided to go back to the FTX Global/Vector route. When I asked if you the libraries installed I meant the Orbx libraries. There's a new one out today. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
