March 31, 201412 yr Hi, searched for this and didn't see what I'm looking for. Flew to Kathmandu International (VNKT), and no ILS, only RNAV approaches. The ceiling was about 500 ft and rain. How, or what is the correct method, to use an RNAV approach using the systems in the NGX? Best, Kev
March 31, 201412 yr Are you talking about how to set the airplane up for an RNAV or the crash course on an RNAV approach (LNAV/LPV etc.) itself compared to ILS.
March 31, 201412 yr Perhaps you should post in NGX forum in the future. Maybe someone from PMDG staff will move it. Anyway, in the NGX it is very easy, especially if you have IAN installed. In that case, it is literally as simple as pushing the APP button in the right place, the aircraft will follow RNAV(RNP) approach as if it were an ILS. Of course there is no autoland in that case, but you probably already know that. --Peter Fabian
