February 4, 200521 yr Maybe this is out of line, but could the MDMax replace Lago's problematic model maybe making the best of both world's for the present?Randy Jura, KPDX
February 4, 200521 yr You're missing the point. There was a point in payware development where you simply do not go back if you wish for your product to sell, and the point where inaccurate panel layouts and throttles on the main panel became taboo passed some five years ago. Speaking from a purely business sense, you are NOT competing with Elite and EliteJet. You are competing with the PMDG 737, Dreamfleet 727, and others. That's kind of like delivering a 737-300 model, fitting it with the most realistic 737-200 FDE ever made, and marketing it on the basis of "the model may be wrong, but the flight dynamics are spot-on." It may fly like a 737-200 but it most certainly does not provide the visuals CUSTOMERS expect.

But for the hardcore MD80 system freaks. :-)Here is what they say "quote":"If your main interest is related to Staffan
February 5, 200521 yr Regardless of whether or not it is your cup of tea, it is marketed honestly and follows through with a product that is basically exactly as I was told it would be. And to be honest, I haven't heard anybody who has actually bought the product show any distaste for it. __Josh
February 5, 200521 yr Hi Josh,I agree with you 100%.And if you read my post earlier in this thread, you see that I really think that MD Max is a "top of the line" title. ;-)Happy landings, Staffan AhlbergSweden/Stockholm/ESSAPMDG MD-11 Team - Beta testerhttp://www.scandicair.com/images/dc9_banner.jpg"I will come and cut your lawn for a high quality DC8-63 system"[/color]My specs are:Dell Dimension 4600 P4/3.0 Ghz1024 Mb DDR333 Dual channel memory (2x256,1x512)128 Mb ATI Radeon 9800 ProOmega 2590DirectX 9.0cW XP Home with SP1E171FPb Flat panel monitor 17"240Gb (2x120) 7200rpm HD Staffan
February 5, 200521 yr >You're missing the point.Erick, with all due respect, the POINT is making money by offering customers a unique experience. MDMAX caters to those who demand near 100% systems fidelity. Although the PMDG 737 and DF 727 are great products, they are not meant to compete at the level of, say, 747 PS1. They're simply two different types of products geared towards two different types of customers.
February 5, 200521 yr >overpriced at a total of 55 Euros. What? And no FMC and a plain looking exterior model. Hmmm, that's approx $100 dollars or so Canadian. What a joke. No thanks.
February 5, 200521 yr While that's true, I just hope the bloke didn't put all that effort in to cater to such a small audience. I tweak out just doing the crap I do. I can't imagine putting my heart and soul into something that complex...I'd trash it.With that said, unless he hard-coded it I'm sure the end-user could modify it all they liked and like I said, it looks like an avenue worth pursuing...
