Is there a freeware, really primitive Flight Simulator somewhere?

Something like FS1 or FS2...I mean, I love the sophistication of FS9, but to really appreciate it I would like to get the feeling of something "basic".Any ideas?

But what do you mean when you say you want something more 'basic'?I mean, maybe you just need to spark up the videos and training lessons...

maybe just turn all the realism and scenery sliders down and fly the default aircraft.billg

I think that you will find that ATP is still copyrighted. As sublogic went under, Microsoft bought a lot of the stuff from BAO, and a company in Europe, Nomissoft, purchased the rights for ATP to make Airline Simulator and Airline Simulator 2. In fact Airline Simulator 2 still includes ATP rev E and it's scenery files in the package.Just because ATP ends up on an "Abondonware" (read as, pirated software that no one should care about) doesn't mean it's freeware or given to the public domain.Since Nomissoft still has all the rights to ATP, ATP unfortunately can't be considered freewarehttp://www.nomissoft.com/

OMG thank you so much for that link. I love reading about the old days!
