April 10, 201412 yr Something has been bugging me for a while. I am using 3 monitors setup with NVIDIA surround. While sitting in VC (PMDG 777 for example) taxiing, I am on the left seat of the cockpit but the center line is always in the center of the middle monitor. Intuitively, I tend to taxi with the fact that I am sitting on the left side of the plane in mind, but this intuition is not correct in FSX world, so the plane would end up taxiing on the right hand side of the center line, if I taxi in the way that I feel it is correct in the real world. I know the problem is that when I move in VC, the outside view does not move with me so it is always center. Is there a way to get around of this? Danny F

April 11, 201412 yr Administrators Don't feel like the "Lone Ranger"! I tend to taxi like a drunken sailor! Looks like with more than 1 monitor, it's going to take some practice to keep it centered. By the way, great pictures of China/Mongolia and Olivia Penelope Appleton! Not that I looked! Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!
April 11, 201412 yr Key when taxiing, I've found, is to focus on the far end of the runway, not the runway right in front of you.. that way, it all comes out OK.. Bert
April 11, 201412 yr Commercial Member Considering you're about 20ft above the ground and the distance from the center of the cockpit in either seat is less than 3ft, the center-line should appear pretty much directly below you when taxiing. This is not a problem with FSX, or the PMDG 777, its exactly the same in the real world. Only when flying small aircraft should one ever need to compensate for taxiing to the left/right of the line.
