Default Innsbruck runway problem.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,I wondered if I could tax some brains on this little issue, which has been present ever since I bought FS2004 upon its release. Presumably its something that affected everyone, and yet I have seen no fixes documented anywhere for it.So the problem...my default Innsbruck (LOWI) runway, is the wrong surface type, ie FS reads it as grass, despite obviously being correctly textured as tarmac. My chosen aircraft always bounce along it with mud/dust effects emerging from the tyres!I believe this is a known bug, and although I haven't experienced it anywhere else myself, I am sure there are various airports at which it does happen. So, can it be fixed? If so how? Am I right in thinking that it could be fixed via AFCAD?Any help/directions appreciated.Best regards,Al.

Same problem here, I have no idea how to fix it. Hopfully someone else does............

I believe if you know AFCAD you can bring up the airport, select the runway and change the ground texture from grass to whatever you prefer. It won't effect the default airport but will create a new layer which will override the default. That should work.

Hi Al,Try an add-on for Innsbruck. Search the Library.Roland

I would second Roland's suggestion Al, get the LOWI add-on.I have 3 filesinnsbruck_g2k4.zipinnsbruck-lowi.zipaf2_lowi_150681.zipHTH
