Hi there,

Have you backed up and deleted your fsx.cfg, so that FSX can rebuild a new and uncorrupt one?

You did not mention that in your first post ....

I think if you have a good PC/Hardware setup with a working OS Win7 and proper permissions (administrator) ... like on your original PC setup then FSX (with all updates also installed) will install just like it did for you on your first setup.

I seen your video.

Are you using Windows Aero?

Or switching from Aero to Basic?

Which version of FSX do you have installed?

FSX?

FSX + SP1?

FSX + SP1+ SP2?

FSX Acceleration?

What is the path (drive/folder) to FSX (like D:\ ........) e.g.?

Does Windows Event viewer show any error(s) in today's log.

Also, did you copy FSX from the old HD (or a backup device) to the new HD?

Or did you reinstall FSX to the new HD using the original purchase CDs?

Windows ..... Event Viewer (logs problems and which program caused the error).

START, Search, Event Viewer.

You will see it.

then select Windows logs

then applications.

Wait 30 seconds for the list to show up.

scroll down the list looking for red error entries .. if seen, click on it and see what it has to say.

We need to get help from another pilot on the forums here who knows about this .... I only use "Basic" mode.
