***AEU7 Test-Version Pics Released!***

Featured Replies

If you are curious to see some pics from the new AEU7, created by chris arrington, and to be released mid-feb, then check out some of the pics i have posted. Got the test version today, and i have spent around 3 hours flying in and out of airports. Performance is great, and the textures are awsome and high in detail.Check out the pics @ http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=185806&page=Test version is still being released. PM Chris for the link. Enjoy all! :-wave

Something's wrong here... Those terminal buildings in the pics are from version 6. I'm going to have to check the files that I've been sending out. :(

Hi Chris,I was gonna tell you that the terminals look the same as in 6 but this already seems to have the word out. So far I only flew KFCA to KPDX but the buildings and ground didn't look any different.Zane

Yep! :-badteeth I've GOOFED! There has been a BIG mistake. I just realized that I, somehow... yet I don't know how, managed to pack the old AEU6 textures into the AEU7 Test package. That means that NOBODY has seen AEU7 at all yet. That means that the final will have to be delayed by 1 week now to allow time for the testing which has not even yet begun. DANG IT! :(I'm going to go cook up a few more screenshots, coorect the error, and then make a bunch of announcements about my big oops. Right now, there are some fifty people who think they have 7, but are looking at 6.Hopefully, I will have the correct file loaded by morning, and maybe I can get AVSIM to make an announcement out on the front page for me.Here's to a long night... Keep your onions peeled!Sorry guys and gals. :)

I thought it was just me. lolThis explains a lot. Thanks for your hard work Chris.

50 ppl!?!?!? Dahh, I felt special!!! :(

Chris,The current set you've got up looks a lot better :). I repeated that same KFCA to KPDX flight, prefer the new buildings but miss the bigger cracks in the asphalt. Frame rates appear to be better by 1 to 1.5 fps.Zane

Do us testers get the correct ones from the same link?

"Do us testers get the correct ones from the same link?"YES indeed! they are all fixed up. :)

Chris,I like this set! I don't find any significant increase in FPS but more importantly IMHO there is definately no decrease in FPS...I have a 2.3GHz machine, 1Gig RAM and 256 TI4200 card so I don't run with unlimited FPS but have it locked at 18 which keeps it nice and smooth even when thrashed with 100% AI and most sliders to the right ;-) As can be seen from the attachments the FPS remains the same whether dawn/day/dusk/night etc.Good job! :-beerchugTa much!ftp://[email protected]/aeu7images/PS there are 13 images here so I have given a link to my website to view them.
