  1. To each their own. Something will bother one person while another it doesn't, much like just about anything in life. Fortunately we all have options to do something about the things that bother us personally, even if it isn't an issue for someone else.
  2. Definitely a bargain given it isn't out yet. So I guess it's practically free!
  3. Well, either I'm not doing something right, or it just doesn't help anything on my system. The description in the manual makes it sound like you can tweak the low frame based on the graphic bars, but they don't seem to vary much regardless of what I set it to. Used it at FSDT JFK in a storm and was getting 7 fps at the gate in the NGX (which is why I never fly there) with it on or off. No change whatsoever.
  4. They are all worth it. Fantastic scenery.
  5. Indeed it does, and I appreciate the pragmatic response to my concerns. It warms my opinion of a product when the developer/creator approaches their customer service in such a way, and is certainly prompting me to take a closer look. Thanks for that, and I wish you success on your future developments.
  6. Agreed if you are actually doing that yourself, but as a consumer it's a bit pricey buying state by state like that at $28 a pop.
  7. Yeah, interesting concept, but pretty steep price after having paid for the photoscenery as well.
  8. I'm not a military bird fan, but if I were I'd be all over these. Lovely indeed, and a real great contribution to the hobby. Thanks so much for your efforts!
  9. KDEN in a black hole? If a black hole has the Rocky Mountains then I guess it isn't quite as desolate as I thought.
  10. Performance for me is excellent. Sadly my first flight into KDEN resulted in a CTD after landing. Hoping it's coincidental.
  11. Wow, what a bargain...
  12. To my knowledge that is a known issue with FTX Central. I use the "restore" option in the Scenery editor which will fix some of them, but I still end up with some scenery entries that lose their group association.
  13. Looking good. If their RJ's are the standard they are operating by this should be quite the enjoyable addition. Looking forward to it.
  14. I've got a few flights in the DC-9 now and can say I am indeed really enjoying it. With a bit of a background in the Maddog there is some overlap there that made it a pretty smooth transition, but the training system is excellent and definitely filled in the gaps. I broke down and bought the flightdecks package from McPhat as well and I'm glad I did. Made quite an improvement in the readability of the VC.
  15. Congrats on the release, and thank you for contributing your time and effort. Well done!
  16. Another question on the flight decks from McPhat. It looks like the cargo expansion comes with one of the UHDT flight decks. Can that be used in the passenger version of the aircraft as well?
  17. I guess I'm going back and forth on the McPhat flight decks. Part of me feels like those should have been included in the base package and I'm hesitant to spend another $17 on top of the $50 I just spent on the aircraft.
  18. Indeed, McPhat VC's were what I was referring to.
  19. So I ended up choosing the DC-9 and have done one flight so far. I really like the training system that helped make my first flight a success. Not something I can say for all of my aircraft. Some of the VC could have clearer lettering though which has me looking at the Coolsky VC add-on. Does anyone have experience with that? Is it better? Does it add to the performance impact?
  20. Sshhhh! Don't let the cat out of the bag!
  21. Excellent. Thanks to those who shared their opinions on the aircraft without any of the drama. You have helped me considerably. Much appreciated.
  22. Sorry to perpetuate the vs topics, but I'm hoping I can get some pros and cons posts about the Flight1 DC9 and the Captain Sim 1011. I'm going to reward myself with a new classic bird and I'm having trouble deciding between them. Any insight existing owners of these planes can put forth is most appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  23. I had this issue in Chrome yesterday as well. Search only revealed the add on livery pack but not the plane itself. Interestingly I did a google search and it took me right to the product page.
  24. Unfortunately they all say boxed version only.
  25. I bought VAC for this purpose as well, but unfortunately I get a ton of sound corruption when using it. Crackling, delays, etc... for me it was wasted money.
