Severe Static Sound In Prepar3D V2.2

Featured Replies

Hello all, I had to reinstall Prepar3d v2.2 (addon problems) and this time, after installing Majestic Q400 and QW 757 & BAE 146, I seem to have severe static sounds on top  of the usual sim sounds, but only in the Q400. If I run any other aircraft, the sounds are just fine. Has anyone encountered something similar in the past by any chance?

Yes, I'm getting sound corruption while taxing at FSDT/Flightbeam airports (under load). This is with on board sound.

I've got a card coming tomorrow so I'll let you know if that fixes it.

You could try try changing  SOUND_LOD=0 to SOUND_LOD=1 in prepare.cfg. It may work, and it may not :)

I know that in FSX, setting SOUND_LOD to =0  causes sound issues, so the same may apply here.

I ended up installing a SoundBlaster card as I was on MB sound.

Fixed it.
