April 26, 201412 yr I have installed VoxATC 6.34 for use with Prepar3D v2.2 and cannot get beyond ATIS with VoxATC. A flight plan has been loaded in the simulator before enabling Vox and speech training has been undertaken. Has anyone else had experience of this and how did you fix the problem, please? I am running Prepar3D v2.2 +Hotfix on a Windows 7 64-bit system, and am trying to use Vox with the PMDG MD11 (which I know works very well in P3D).
April 26, 201412 yr During listening to ATIS, another frequency should come up to tune too ... I am using VoxATC with P3D v2.2 without a problem
April 26, 201412 yr Author I thought it was perhaps an incompatibility with the loaded flight plan (generated outside of P3D) but having generated a plan from within the simulator, the same problem exists so we can rule that out.
April 26, 201412 yr I generate my flightplans using EFASS and then export to the required format. Then load from within P3D
April 26, 201412 yr Author Found it! To snap out of ATIS I had to press the space bar and then things start to roll. Question is, is this always the case or just a quirk of Version 6.34?
April 26, 201412 yr Found it! To snap out of ATIS I had to press the space bar and then things start to roll. Question is, is this always the case or just a quirk of Version 6.34? I've never had to do this, in 6.34 or before. Once I tune into ATIS, after about 30 seconds (I suppose to give me time to listen to it), the VoxATC display changes from "listen to ATIS" to tell me the next frequency to contact (usually to get a clearance).
April 26, 201412 yr Author Hippo, That is very interesting. In my case I have to tune to ATIS by selecting the frequency, then having tired of this press the space bar and then and only then do I get the 'Listen to ATIS' message. So, if you would kindly let me know a little more about your setup which bypasses the requirement to select the ATIS frequency, then I might be able to replicate a more satisfactory process with VoxATC.
April 27, 201412 yr My situation is the same as Hippo's. You tune to AIS and listen. After a short time the instruction changes and asks you to tune to a different frequency. Usually to get clearance. There is no new contact. ATIS will continue indefinitely until you change frequency. Tom
April 28, 201412 yr Author For whatever reason my experience has now changed and I am getting the same situation that you have described, which I would suppose to be normal. So a temporary blip in performance for unexplained reasons, but back on track now. Thank you all for sharing your experiences.
May 21, 201412 yr In my case, after installing v6.34, the ATIS sound is not fully audible. Can hear only some part of the broadcast. Otherwise, ATC and other pilot voices are all OK. BTW, I do not have such problem being stuck at the "listen to ATIS" phase. Does anybody have similar problem?
