There is a pinned topic above entitled "AVSIM Software and Hardware Guide for FSX".  That contains a link which should lead to the PDF Guide.  Instead it gives me this:

Does anybody know where the Hardware AND SOFTWARE Guide has gone?

 

PS  For anyone else seeking this document, I guess it died.  Not only has this post of mine been moved, but the post containing the dead link I was referring to has been deleted.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.  Pinned topic has been removed as the AVSIM Hardware and Software Guide was replaced by the AVSIM FSX Configuration Guide (see link under Hot Spots to the right of this forum).

Ah! Excellent, thanks.  Looks like my fault at least in part for not understanding the new site layout.

the problem is that The Basic Configuration Guide, has nothing  in common with the Hardware and Software Guide which gave many informations about the hardware and software environment for fsx, and their evolution.

The last date of issue I know was Feb 19, 2014, v.1.0.5.1. Is there a new version somewhere ?
