Hi Kyle I try to follow all the steps required in the PMDG weather radar troubleshooting page: - The latest update of my 737NGX (SP1d v1.10.64611) - The latest version of ASN (SP2C update B5589) - The latest version of FSUIPC4 (4.939u) - The settings of FSX as required but there is still no weather radar in my 737 (as it works fine with the 777). In fact, when I press the WXR button on the EFIS, nothing happens in the PFD, no mention about the WXR... The only thing, perhaps, is that I haven't uninstalled the previous version of 737 before installing the new one (I never do that !!). Do I have to reinstall the version ? In that case, how do I uninstall the 737 ? Thanks Pierre Boileau LFRS

Hi Thanks to Bryan my problem is solved. The way to get this result : - Manually delete the fs2crew777 folder locating in "appdata." - Delete the fs2crew 777 folder in the main fsx folder. It's located in the fs2crew2010 folder. - Reinstall fs2crew with admin rights - Re activate the product via the fs2crew 777 config manager (name, e-mail, order ..) Then run fsx, it should be OK Pierre

Hi Bryan Yes, affirmative, it says v1.3 I don't understand what you mean "double check your audio setup" : my HP work fine, and when i use a headset, connected to the hp, it's the same. I've tried all the audio settings in the cfg sub panel, with the same results. Pierre

Hi, In fact I am in the same situation with the same problem, except I use the Button Control and not the Voice control, (and I don't undestand what means "please follow the sound thread") !. I can't run any procedure or checklist when I press the Main Button, I have no capt's voice and no action. I'm stuck on the Pre Flight Checklist. If I run the Pre Flight Events routine, everything works fine until T+15' when it's time to run the Pre Flight Checklist. With the arrow on the right side of the Main Panel, after OXYGEN TESTED 100%, I access the following questions of the checklist by pressing the Main Button, but without any voice to validate the responses, then I'm stuck again when arriving at the Before Start procedure, there is no way to make it run. Some additional details : -The main and secondary buttons are set correctly, they work fine with my FS2Crew 737NGX -By Pressing the AUDIO button on the Main Panel I have the correct sounds on HP left and right -FS2Crew is well in the panel.cfg -On The Main Panel the HS button is ON -The CFG button is set -As I bought 777 FS2Crew on January 30th, I have installed the product 3 times to access the actual v1.3 !! Hi, the problem is that The Basic Configuration Guide, has nothing in common with the Hardware and Software Guide which gave many informations about the hardware and software environment for fsx, and their evolution. The last date of issue I know was Feb 19, 2014, v.1.0.5.1. Is there a new version somewhere ? Thanks Pierre Boileau

As, now, the problem is the same without AS2012, I haven't change anything on AS !

Flying the PMDG 737NGX with HI FI AS2012 to handle the weather, as always, I tried to change the 3D Clouds setting in AS2012 and to modify the weather settings : the FPS dropped down to 5, and the sky became grey, as I was at FL390 ! I supposed there was something wrong in AS2012 and stopped both, FSX and AS2012. Launching FSX again without AS, the sky is still grey, even if I select the fine weather in FSX weather, the blue sky has disappeared. I tried to delete the FSX.cfg but the new one doesn't improve the situation. Does any one have an idea about that kind of problem, and where can it be fixed ? ? Thanks Pierre

I've tried once again to repair FSX but without any success, so I've decided to uninstall then reinstall everything. The weather being so sad, it's now or never, watching Olympics games. Thanks to all Pierre Boileau

No, I can't fly the free flght because the free flight screen freezes after a while, or when I press the Start button, like previously. I've noticed that the default flight was changed in the free flight screen, but I didn't pay attention to that. Now, I'm quite sure that changing the fsx.cfg file would have fixed my problem, except that the default flight can't be launched because the plane (the ulm) is deleted !!

Hi, I've repaired the PMDG 747 with the 747.exe file, but no changes By the way, I've noticed a problem : Subsequently to the creation of a new fsx.cfg, the free flight which appears when I launch FSX isn't my default flight with cessna 172/Seattle, but a default flight of Microsoft, with an Aircreation ULM Tricycle/Friday harbor. The problem is that I've deleted this airplane, with some others I know I would not use, a day I was looking for some more place on my HDD ! It's certainly the reason why the ulm doesn't move in the free flight screen, and why I can't change the airplane. As this ulm has definitly disappeared, how can I change the default flight, or find a new file of this ulm ?

Howard, you're right, I've never done a restore before, and I've never prevented Windows from making a restore point. In fact, sometimes I've restored some files from my Norton Ghost, but restoring all FSX I'm a bit afraid of the result. I use W7 64 bits Pierre

Hi Jim and Howard 1 - the change of logbook.bin doesn't produce any positive result 2 - I've tried to restore my system, but, unfortunately the only restoration point I can access is today, there no other point (perhaps because of the defragmentation?), so I can't restore another day Do you have something else ? I can't access to FREE FLIGHT. FSX freezes when I select FREE FLIGHT, and I can do anything except waiting FSX shut down.

Hi jwenham, I've deleted the fsx.cfg, and for a while, I thought the problem was fixed because I've accessed to the home page, but when I leave this page for any flight, after having accepted all the .GAU files, FSX shut down with a fatal error (but no mention about the file concerned !)

What do you mean by "a system restore" ? If you mean restart the system, yes I did it a lot of times, if other, could you precise your idea ! Thanks Pierre PS : when, on my topic, I say "I can't access to the home page", that means that FSX has a fatal error during the music, and the program stops.

Today, FSX can't start at all. I get the music (!), but no access to the home page of FSX. Yesterday I was flying a 747 PMDG without any problem and I left normally the program. This morning, after the problem had appeared, I've defragmented my HDD, tried the "fs_registry_repair.exe" file, but without any amelioration. My config : Core I7 930 2.8 Ghz, Asustek P6T deluxe, Nvidia GTX470, 6Mo memory DDR3, with W7 64bits, FSX + SP1 +SP2, and a lot of attached programs (My TrafficX, AS2012, Radar contact, Flightsim Commander, GSX), and many planes with all PMDG, level-d, wilco…, and many airports sceneries, so it would not be cool to uninstall and reinstall everything ! As I see a lot of questions about installing AS2012, and as I've just made the installation without any problem, if I can help, here my experience (with W 7 - 64 bits) :- read the AS2012 user's guide, at least the introduction- download FSUIPC 4.751 and change the .dll file of your own FSUIPC (registered) with the 4.751 one- launch FSX and verify FSUIPC correctly installed (top menu bar of FSX)- quit FSX and download AS2012- unzip the files and install AS2012 (as2012.exe file) on any of your hard disks, due to necessary space for AS2012. You can choose a different disk than FSX (for me : F:\Program Files (x86)\HiFi\....., as FSX and ASE are on C:\)- launch AS2012 : it will find your FSX without problem, and, if you have, it will also find automatically your ASE license (except perhaps if you've changed e-mail address)- choose your parameters in AS2012, and launch FSX (with windows 7, don't use the button "Start FSX" of AS2012, you must always start FSX as an administaror, so, right clic)That's allBrian and Chris : great job ! I know, there are a lot of messages asking some improvements for V.5 but I can't read all, so, I go with my own remarks : - a choice of pre-recorded chatter with the possibility of changing (always the same jokes, in France always the same pilot astonished to meet the same sailplane on his route, please.....!) - when you receive a pilot discretion descent, with 2 minutes later an altitude restriction 12000' lower within 30 Nm : it's not very realistic - when you try of following a real STAR, or SID, with speed and altitude restrictions, it's very strange to hear the ATC asking you something completely different, and impatientant itself if you stay 15" at an intermediate level. Similar for the heading during approaches.. Could it be possible to have connection between STAR and RC, or at the very least, a cooler controller ? - when you are cruising, the RC ATC never gives you instruction to fly directly to a waypoint, except if you ask to. A real ATC will do it very often and spontaneously. - except during descent through 11000' (why always 11000' and never 10000' ?), RC ATC never orders an heading, or a restricted speed, or asking for a different FL. Doug, DanYou know what....I'm happy ...it works, engines start !Of course there is always the little problem with the FMS which is always refusing to power up, but a first step is done.More over, before shutting down the J41 to save the cold and dark flight, the FMS was OK, (I'd just loaded FSX, choose the J41 airplane and launch the flight !). Perhaps I did something wrong with these d.. power and condition levers or with the feathering.I remain confident.Thanks a lot !!Pierre BOILEAU - LFRS

DougAbout the FMS : Yes - other electronics work and NO the generators aren't turned on (even if sometimes I do some tries with them ON) and the FMS doesn't start when running on ground power (in fact all my tries are done with GPU working)When I try to push the ON button of the FMS through the cockpit rather than the pop-up, I have the same result.On the other hand, I must say that, when I succeed in powering up the FMS, sometimes, yes !..., I have no problem to have it back when I stop the avionics for starting engines.I think I'm going to let the JS41 have some rest for a while and I will return to my PMDG MD11 or 744 !Thanks a lotPierre BOILEAU
