May 1, 201412 yr Hello guys In the future i would like to migrate on P3D but actually my video card is very poor.. so i would like a new GTXThe gtx 780 3G seems very nice but i heard many people says "for p3d the video card is important"But the price is important too anyway, the gtx780 3g has good performance even if there is a big overcast with a big traffic ai on major airport ?Or just the GTXtitan can save me on this situation ? thank you so much Bizzy dee
May 3, 201412 yr Hello guys In the future i would like to migrate on P3D but actually my video card is very poor.. so i would like a new GTX The gtx 780 3G seems very nice but i heard many people says "for p3d the video card is important" But the price is important too anyway, the gtx780 3g has good performance even if there is a big overcast with a big traffic ai on major airport ? Or just the GTXtitan can save me on this situation ? thank you so much I think the GTX780Ti is considered better for P3D than the Titan. 3GB is a bit on the low side for future proofing P3D. There is a 780TI 6GB due out soon so might be worth waiting for that. gb. YSSY. May 6, 201412 yr 780Ti. Not only do I recommend it because I have it, but I had my computer just recently built by JETLINE SYSTEMS, and THEY recommended it. Jetline Systems builds computers EXCLUSIVELY for FSX in Tampa, FL, and their recommendations are spot on! Stan
May 6, 201412 yr I can't say for sure as I don't own any of them however from what I've heard the 780Ti is the best GPU you can get for a single monitor and the Titan Black is the best for a multi-monitor setup for those running Surround. Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?
May 22, 201412 yr 3GB is a bit on the low side for future proofing P3D. At the moment w/ 2.2 this is not the case. With 2.0 and 2.1 video memory appears to have mattered much more as evidenced by the fact board w/ large amounts of VRAM (like Titan 6gb) would have all 6Gb used in (GPU-z) the most complex situations. However w/ the method used to improve VAS utilization VRAM use has gone way down. It's rare to go over 2Gb now in the very same situations that I would see 5.7Gb in use prior to 2.2. I hope this changes somehow, that they can exploit available VRAM. Perhaps it will only happen now /w multi monitor setups. If you're going only one display then 3Gb could well be ample going forward a ways out, or perhaps 4Gb if you really want the headroom.
