ISA level

Featured Replies

Well to start i don't know what ISA is been reading but can't figure it out! I do the calculations per tutorial 2 into the FMC and thats that done but my question is he works out ISA from FL180 is this the standard alt for it ie TL or can i do the calculation based on my dest airport TL?

It's better data for the descent if you use the ISA DEV at FL180. But don't worry about it. It's not critical. I've never had a VNAV DISCONNECT or missed an altitude restriction because I didn't have the ISA DEV box filled. Don't stop simming because that field is empty.
