There are two versions of the SDK SP - one for FSX Deluxe and the other for FSX Deluxe with the acceleration Pack.

That for FSX Deluxe can be downloaded from Microsoft as fsx_sp2_ENU.msi (10.0.61472)  for the English version and is 170,011 KB.

That for Acceleration is only provided by Microsoft on the Acceleration DVD as sdk.msi (10.0.61637) and is 216,929 KB.

I''m not aware of other reports about the DVD being faulty but it may be worth approaching the seller, or even buying another copy - they are cheap now.
