Q400 Control Panel W&B Problem

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have made the sample flight and another from KBZN to KGEG in my just arrived Q400. It seems everything is working in the aircraft systems as described by the manuals and tutorials. I have a lot to learn yet. But there is a stubborn problem with the Control Panel Weight & Balance page when sending data to flightsim. After the Send Data button is pressed, the Q400 in the flightsim simply silences and the cockpit moving parts and buttons stay paralyzed but their functions operate. For example, if I press the autofeather or fuel pump button, it illuminates, if I turn the glare shield lighting button, the light comes. Outside, the aircraft has no wheels.

Any help?

Thanks in advance. Regards.

simple solution is  to press the p  key it pauses  the sim when you send the data to the aircraft

Hi Pete,

Thanks for helping, it seems reasonably. I will try tonight when back from work. But, sincerely, after all these years using FlightSim, I didn't know an aircraft has the wheels subtracted when paused.

Yea  pressing the lights  and  that do kind of  work  since  I just tried it myself  while  the sim was paused  I clicked on some parts in the cockpit   and some things  worked  liked  the lights  etc,  but not  the moving  parts eg  the control lock.  But  when  I un paused  the sim  all those  things I clicked  while the sim  was paused  actually  did  what I had  clicked on  when it  was in the un paused  state.

Don't know  about  the  wheels  though ,Dont know how  you use the mqj400 weight manager,  I always load the q400  to the gate  first  than I go  to the mqj load manager weight  and  than send  the data, havnt had any issues  this  way of  doing  it this way

Hi,

The problem is solved. My texts were off and I couldn't see the pause message, as well as parking breaks and zoom factor. Pressing P did the trick. Support at Majestic said that in some cases when paused, FSX does not recognizes wheels, so they are not displayed.

One more thing I should have learnt: when one doesn't find an issue in the Forum, the problem is generally between the chair and the keyboard ;-)

Thanks folks
